BLACK TIE & TAILS
Get ready to treat yourself at this year’s Black Tie & Tails! For two nights, our 75-acre campus will transform into a one-of-a-kind experience that’s so much more than fun and games – it’s lifesaving.
And, to complement our proven and progressive outlook on behavior training, we couldn’t think of a more perfect celebrity guest for this year’s Black Tie & Tails – Jackson Galaxy! Join us in welcoming the host and brains behind Animal Planet’s long-time running show, My Cat from Hell, animal advocate, cat behavior and wellness expert and the two-time New York Times best-selling author – the “Cat Daddy” himself.
Jackson will be in attendance for both nights of Black Tie & Tails to join in the fun and festivities. On Friday night, hightail it to the dance floor to groove the night away. Enjoy savory spreads, intriguing libations and lively auctions. As always, there will be plenty of time to socialize with our homeless residents.
On Saturday night, the decadent dining experience, smooth jazz and fabulous auction packages will be sure to engage all of your senses. And, there will be plenty of time to bump noses with the dogs, cats and rabbits of Animal Friends!
Can’t decide which night? Join us for both! After all, Black Tie & Tails was voted Best Benefit Gala in Pittsburgh.

We’re Going Green!
In recognition of the impact of single-use items on our environment and health, we’re partnering with the Pennsylvania Resources Council to reduce landfill waste from Black Tie & Tails.
Through material reuse, recovery, composting and recycling at least 90% of the material used will be diverted from the landfill.
Perfectly Imperfect Challenge
At Animal Friends, we’ve been providing rescue, rehoming and critical rehabilitation to homeless animals in need for decades. So, it comes as no surprise that we wear our heart on our sleeve when it comes to our most challenging cases.
We know all of our animal friends are perfectly imperfect. But sometimes those endearing quirks … are more than just quirks. Often times, rectifying them requires more patience, energy and knowledge than the average person or organization possesses. But that’s what makes Animal Friends so special. Our community knows they can turn to us to provide safe haven for companion animals who are abused, poorly trained, fearful or who simply wouldn’t get another chance otherwise.
Which is why we need your help.
It’s through your generosity that more lives can be impacted, affected and, ultimately, saved through our holistic, integrative approach to animal care and behavior modification. And, there is no better time to give! Now through September 30, generous adopter, supporter and ambassador Bob Fragasso will match every gift – 50 cents on the dollar – up to $100,000 to ensure that this program continues to grow and expand.
Please, show us that you wear your heart on your sleeve by giving generously.
