2020 Gala & Charity Auction
The Horological Society of New York (HSNY), America’s oldest watchmaking guild, founded in 1866, invites watch enthusiasts to celebrate 154 years of tradition at the 2020 Gala & Charity Auction on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. HSNY’s biggest night of the year will be held at the Manhattan Penthouse, an exceptional event venue boasting panoramic views of the New York City skyline.
Members and guests will toast to the year’s accomplishments and advancements in the field of horology. All Henry B. Fried Scholarship recipients will be announced as scheduled on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. The scholarship is designed to assist students at full-time watchmaking schools in the United States, and encourage a new generation to consider watchmaking as a career.
The celebration on August 5 will continue with a charity auction presented by Christie’s. This year’s coveted auction lots will include exquisite watches, rare horological ephemera and one-of-a-kind experiences. In classic HSNY fashion, the evening will also feature a cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres, a gourmet dinner and premium open bar – all adorned with a backdrop of the Manhattan night sky.
